La Dolce Vita
After a week in Barcelona, we took the most uncomfortable and smallest plane ride over to beautiful Italia! We checked into our nice air-conditioned room in Firenze and rested for all of one hour. We managed to catch a few Italian reruns of "The Hills" and caught up on the biggest MTV sensation- Tokyo Hotel and their fans. Since I had not watched the hills in over a month, I wanted new episodes but all I got were 3 year old reruns. Florence was picturesque, old world, and compact. The heat wave got the best of us. We literally had a meltdown in the 106 degree weather. Walking and dripping in sweat became part of us as we explored the streets of Florence. We sampled some Pizza. Cooled off with some Gelato. Drank lots of Red Bull. Photographed David in all his glory. Florence is a beautiful little city full of history and life. We were in awe of the beauties. Our Italian Journey had just begun!
Musicians on the streets are everywhere.
First slice of Italian Pizza: Not too impressed.

The police wear interesting head gear. My students would love a hat like that.
